Our hospital is a branch of the renowned, worldwide organization, the Ramakrishna Mission. Ramakrishna Mission is a part of the the Ramakrishna Order of monks. One of Ramakrishna Mission's avowed ideals is to serve the humanity without any distinction of caste, creed, race, religion or language. The Mission has been serving the humanity for over a century now. It has since its inception, shown extraordinary adherence to this ideal in an exemplary manner. Our hospital is situated in Itanagar, the capital city of the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh, popularly known as the "Indian state of rising sun", is situated in the North Eastern corner of the Indian subcontinent. It shares its borders with Myanmar, China, Tibet and Bhutan. Largest among the seven North Eastern states of India with an area of 83,743 square kilometers it has a population of only 1,091,117. The whole state is on the mountains, which are in the Himalayan range. This makes the access, transportation and communication very difficult. The hospital is managed by a local managing committee, in which there is a good representation from the tribal community which the Mission serves. Monks take an active part in the day-to-day administration of the hospital. Moreover, it is blessed with a dedicated team of doctors, nursing staff and paramedical staff. The Ramakrishna Order of Monks' ideology can be summed up as follows: Ideal Self-realization and welfare of the world Aim Practice and preaching of Sanatana Dharma, the Eternal Religion, as embodied in the life and teaching of Sri Ramakrishna, who is the source and guiding inspiration of the Order.
